Karen L. Kelly Vanlehn,kvanlehn@brill.acomp.usf.edu The wiz ++++++++ and look at these other rationale ++++++++++++++++ ++++++++ answer: 129 The sum of the digits add up to a number divisible by 3. In the first four numbers the difference between the sums are respectively 3,6,and 12.(30,33,39,51) In the next three numbers the difference between the sums is respectively 6,12, and 15.(51,57,69,84) The sum of 3 is eliminated. In the next three numbers the difference between the sums (84,96,111) is respectively 12 and 15 and the difference between 111 and the next number must be 18. So the last number in the series to complete the pattern must be 129.(111+18) Michael Callaghan, Brian MacDonald, Andrew Stevens, Corey Kane Teacher: Michael O'Leary - Grade Six Students: Princess Elizabeth School - Saint John, N.B. The difference between each number went like this; 3,6,12,6,12,5,12,15 Every other number except the first number was 12, so I figured that the next two numbers would have a difference of 12. I added 12 to 111, and got 123. Jennifer Patricia Williams - 11 years old Sussex Middle School - Sussex N.B. Canada.
